Copper oxidizes naturally and needs to be cleaned at regular intervals.

Traditional methods of cleaning copper include rubbing the copper with mixture of salt and tamarind paste or fresh lemon juice. If not lime, salt or baking soda and vinegar can also be used.

It can also be cleaned by regular copper cleaners, easily available in market.Same can be followed for brass and bronze items also.
